ACT Results Show Sequoyah Continues to Soar
Sequoyah continues to prepare its students for college and careers. Sequoyah's recent ACT results show an average score of 21.4 compared to the state average of 20.4. This score is more significant than ever because for the first time the Oklahona State Department of Education tested every junior enrolled in public school in the spring of 2016. Our juniors scored, on an average, a full point higher than the entire state's junior enrollment.
Sequoyah is special because every administrator, teacher and support employee takes great pride in working with our students and their families to prepare them for the future. Our vision is to instill the love of learning in our young people so as they transition into the next phase of learning, whether that be college and/or career, they will embrace the learning opportunities that come their way.
Sequoyah prepares students for college and careers and this year's ACT composite score is a perfect example of Prek-12 teachers working together, striving for academic excellence each day and each year of a Sequoyah student's educational experience.
Sequoyah will continue to have a great school because if its people and community. Please join us in celebrating the continued success of Sequoyah Schools.
