Digging It!

Students in Mrs. Vanna Owens class recently engaged in an archeology dig. Students held discussions about the past through hands-on artifacts and archeology, not just through books. They drew inferences on who may have used them and for what purpose. This was an introduction to the nonfiction story about the historical mystery of the colony of Roanoke, in which an entire colony of people went missing and has never been found.
