Elementary Art Show
Featuring techniques used by Claude Monet
The Sequoyah Elementary Art Department recently sponsored a school wide art show, focusing on the painting techniques used by the artist Claude Monet. Considered to be the “Father of Impressionism”, Monet’s unique use of color and brush strokes have made his paintings some of the most influential in the world. For the competition, students in First through Fifth Grades created a masterpiece titled “Monet’s Tree” using only primary colors.
