What's happening in the Lower Elementary?

 

Here come the holidays!

So glad to finally see fall weather arriving. We were so excited to have our annual carnival which is a standing tradition of community fellowship and fundraising. It was great to see everyone! Thank you so much for all the support you gave during carnival sales, raffle ticket sales, and Carnival evening events.  Tickets were bought, candy/trinkets were purchased, games were played and the donations that you, as parents, provided for our item and ticket sales were unbelievable!

Proudly, our Sequoyah community pulled together and supported our district with this once a year fundraiser by compiling a district total of over $70,000 in funds for our classrooms. Thank you...the love of this community is so deep and outreaching!

Parent-Teacher conferences were very successful in seeing over 80% of our parents/guardians attending. With combined teamwork of home and school, this will be a great growth year for our students.

Our Scholastic Book Fair will be November 10^th through 18^th. More details will be sent out.

Thanksgiving break will be November 24^th – 28^th .

Our semester will end on December 19^th, which is our last day before Christmas Break. We are looking forward to a safe and meaningful holiday for both Thanksgiving and Christmas! This time of year is dedicated to time for caring, thankfulness, and giving.

Christmas Break runs from December 19^th through January 5^th.

Eagle PASS shirt orders November 4^th – 18^th  

Daylight Savings Time ends November 2^nd  

Cinnamon Roll with Grandparents – November 7^th

Book Fair – November 10^th – 14^th  

5-week Grade Check – November 20^th  

November 24^th – 28^th   – NO SCHOOL for Thanksgiving Break

Upper Elementary Musical – December 11^th

Lower Elementary Musical – December 12^th

 December 16^th - End of 2^nd Qtr. / 1^st Semester

Christmas Break – December 19^th  through January 5^th    

Teacher Professional Development – January 5^th     - NO SCHOOL

Classes Resume – Tuesday, January 6^th   

Once we return from Christmas Break, we will have several safety drills to practice our procedures for emergencies like fire, tornado or bus evacuation.

As we move through chilly fall & winter days, please be aware of our ever-changing Oklahoma weather and send your child in weather appropriate clothing. All of the students do make brief outside trips to ‘Specials’ and the lunch room cafeteria every day.
