Middle School Principal's Message

Dear Sequoyah Patron’s,

Football, softball, cross country, and volleyball are all completed. Now it’s on to basketball, archery, and academic team. The kids have been great and everyone is really enjoying getting back to all of our normal activities. Our families have been great about doing their home health checks. Kids are doing awesome about logging in to their Google classroom and keeping up with their work. Here at Sequoyah it takes all of us working together in order to create a culture of learning and face to face participation. So, to our kids, our parents, our community and our staff here at Sequoyah, I would like to say THANK YOU for your support and your willingness to dare and soar like EAGLES.

As we progress through the second half of the semester, things usually get a lot more distracting. The weather gets cooler and many activities move indoors. Please be aware that at times there will be precautions that we will need to take depending on the event and venue. In addition to these things the holidays are also upon us. This means travel and exposure to people and places our kids are not usually exposed to. Because of this it is that much more important for our families to assist us by doing the daily health checks and keeping our kids home if there is any sign or symptom that may indicate illness.

Here at Sequoyah Middle School the staff is really looking forward to face to face interaction with our kids and our community members. As we go through the holidays let’s all take a few moments to reflect on the many things that we are thankful for. At the same if there is someone in our community who has a need that we can assist with please feel free to contact us and let us know. Here at Sequoyah Middle School our staff strives to present a servant attitude in whatever we do. Our hope is to lead by example and build lifelong relationships with our kids. Our ultimate goal is to be Life Touchers. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your family.
