Cherokee Language Bowl Winners
SEQUOYAH UPPER ELEM. WINS DOUBLE SECOND PLACE
AT CHEROKEE LANGUAGE BOWL 2015
On Thursday, December 3, 2015, students from Sequoyah Upper Elementary traveled to Tahlequah, Oklahoma to compete in the 3rd –5th grade level of the Cherokee Language Bowl. Students have to buzz in against other teams JUST in order to be able to answer questions. For the first time, Sequoyah fielded two teams of mostly brand new players. Both teams scored a Second Place finish.

Sequoyah Middle School has two winning teams on Cherokee translation and Sequoyah’s syllabary recognition. They traveled to Tahlequah on December 10, 2015.

SEQUOYAH LOWER ELEMENTARY WINS FIRST EVER AT CHEROKEE LANGUAGE BOWL 2015
For the very first time, Sequoyah entered a group of First and Second graders in the Cherokee Language translation competition. They traveled to Tahlequah on December 14, 2015. They achieved a FIRST PLACE!! These students began training 1 hour a week after school in September. A great job for brand new students!
