This summer Kenzie Saul had the opportunity to go to Guatemala on a mission's trip with Conduit Mission.

For this being her first mission's trip, she was nervous, but excited. "Missions has always been a thought of mine, but I never pushed myself to go," Saul said. "Once I heard about the Guatemala mission at church I immediately felt called to go."

When asked to describe the impact the trip had on her, she often cannot find the words. "The people of Guatemala are incredible," Saul said. "The towns of Guatemala are beautiful."

While In Guatemala, her group had the chance to build houses in the villages, meet families, give toys to children, serve in a special needs orphanage, and serve in a Women's home.

"Everyday was eye opening and heart warming," Saul said. "While being in Guatemala I felt God's love every second. I felt like I was being united with my brothers and sisters." Although language was a barrier for her, she still loved them and talked to them in any way she could. "We are all the same in the Kingdom of God," Saul said.

Kenzie found out quick one way she could connect with the children was through soccer.

"I connected with many of the children through soccer. They absolutely love soccer, Saul said."

Kenzie was thankful she was able to find something in common with the children. Finding something that tied her and many of the children there together was special to her.

"They will always holds a special place in my heart," Saul said. "I went to Guatemala to help and make a change, but little did I know the people of Guatemala helped change me." The country of Guatemala and her new family there has changed her forever. "My heart is there and I'm so ready to go back next year," Saul said.
