Fourth Graders Code Robots
Sequoyah 4th grade students recently had an opportunity to practice their coding skills on a giant traveling map from the Oklahoma Geography Alliance. Students from Mrs. Owens' and Mrs. Black's classes coded robots to visit different towns across the state as if they were guiding Santa's sleigh. This activity not only focused on increasing coding skills, but was also used as an in depth teaching tool to learn the geography of the state of Oklahoma. All grade level classes in both upper and lower elementary were invited to use the giant map as a learning tool specific to their classroom assignments.
